Everyday Eye Care ("we," "us," "our") operates this website to give patients and visitors information about our practice, our services, and our three Pacific Northwest locations. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we handle it. It does not cover the medical records we create when you are a patient in our care. See the "Your Medical Records" section below for that.

Information We Collect

This website is almost entirely informational. We do not have a contact form, newsletter signup, or appointment-request form that submits your information to us through this site. Specifically:

  • Dry Eye Screening Quiz. The interactive quiz on our Dry Eye Center page runs entirely in your own browser. Your answers are scored on your device and are never sent to or stored on our servers.
  • Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) automatically logs basic technical information for security and reliability purposes, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. We do not use this data for advertising or combine it with any other profile about you.
  • Local storage on your device. We use your browser's local storage for one purpose only: remembering that you dismissed our promotional banner, so it does not reappear on your next visit. This stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Cookies

We do not use advertising, marketing, or analytics-tracking cookies on this website. We are not currently running services like Google Analytics or Meta/Facebook Pixel. Third-party tools embedded on some pages (described below) may set their own cookies under their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Third-Party Services

A few pages on this site connect to outside services that operate under their own privacy policies, not ours:

  • Cherry Technologies (patient financing). Our dry eye treatment pages include an optional financing calculator and application widget provided by Cherry. If you choose to check financing options or apply, the information you enter goes directly to Cherry, not to us, and is handled under Cherry's own privacy policy.
  • CrystalPM (patient forms and scheduling). Links labeled "Patient Forms" or "Book Online" take you to CrystalPM, our patient management portal, which is operated by a separate company under its own privacy and security practices.
  • Google Maps. Our location pages embed a Google Maps view so you can find directions. Google may collect information according to its own privacy policy when you interact with an embedded map.
  • Google Fonts. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may connect to Google to download those font files, and Google handles that connection under its own privacy policy.

Your Medical Records

Once you become a patient, the health information we collect during your care (exam findings, treatment history, insurance and billing details, and similar records) is protected under HIPAA and is governed by our practice's Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this website policy. You can request a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices at any of our three locations, and you have the rights described in that notice regarding your protected health information.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

Your Choices

You can clear or block local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings; this may cause the promotional banner to reappear but will not affect your ability to use the site. If you have questions about information handled by a third-party service linked from our site (Cherry, CrystalPM, or Google), please contact that service directly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our website or services change. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
