Meet Dr. Ryan Ngo

Education & Residency
Dr. Ryan Ngo grew up in Portland, Oregon and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry. He completed his residency in ocular disease at the Spokane Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he received advanced clinical training in diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, and inflammatory diseases of the eye.
Before opening Everyday Eye Care, Dr. Ngo practiced for several years in a hospital setting with Kaiser Permanente, where he worked alongside ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers. During this time, he gained extensive experience not only in managing chronic eye disease but also in caring for urgent and emergency eye cases such as injuries, infections, and sudden vision loss.
Philosophy of Care
With a passion for primary and medical eye care including specialty contact lenses like scleral lenses and dry eye management. Dr. Ngo believes in providing compassionate, personalized care to every patient. He found his calling in expanding access to quality eye care for underserved communities. His hospital experience at Kaiser Permanente also prepared him to manage urgent and emergency eye cases such as infections, injuries, and sudden vision loss, giving patients peace of mind that they are in capable hands.
In the past, he volunteered with the AMIGOS group, traveling to Costa Rica and Cambodia to provide free eye exams and eye care.
Outside the Office
Outside the exam room, Dr. Ngo enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and going on morning walks with his wife and their dog. His philosophy of care is simple: to serve and care for everyone.
