How MiBo Thermoflo works

Your meibomian glands produce the oil layer of your tear film — the critical outer layer that prevents your tears from evaporating too quickly. When these glands become blocked, the oils harden and cannot reach the surface of your eye. This is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, the leading cause of evaporative dry eye.

MiBo Thermoflo uses a thermoelectric device to deliver consistent, controlled heat at a therapeutic temperature of 108°F directly to the outer eyelids. This sustained warmth softens and liquefies the hardened oils trapped inside your meibomian glands, allowing them to flow freely again.

How many sessions do I need?

Why not just use a warm compress at home?
Warm compresses can help with mild symptoms, but they lose heat within 2 to 3 minutes and rarely reach the temperature needed to liquefy hardened meibum deep in the glands.
