Part-Time Optometrist in Pasco, WA
$600 a day plus a production bonus, at an independent practice on Road 68 that serves the whole Tri-Cities. Minutes from Kennewick, Richland and West Richland.
The short version
A part-time OD role in the Tri-Cities that pays $600 a day, and more when it is busy
Everyday Eye Care is hiring a part-time optometrist for our Pasco, Washington office. The pay is $600 per day plus a production bonus, the days are set with you, and trained staff run pretesting and the front desk so your time goes to patients.
The office sits inside the Walmart on Road 68, right off I-182, which puts it about 13 minutes from Richland and 14 from Kennewick. If you live anywhere in Pasco, Kennewick, Richland or West Richland, this is a short commute.
You would be working with Dr. Ryan Ngo, OD, who owns the practice, did his residency in ocular disease at the Spokane VA and practiced at Kaiser Permanente before opening Everyday Eye Care. It is an independent practice, not a corporate chain.
Compensation
$600/day
Production bonus
A solid day rate, with upside on the busy days
Every day you work pays $600. On top of that, a production bonus rewards the days you see more patients and do more for them, so a full schedule pays more than the base.
We would rather explain the bonus properly than squeeze it into a line here. Dr. Ngo goes through exactly how it is calculated on the first call, with real numbers.
Full-scope optometry, not just refractions
The Pasco office sees the full range of primary and medical eye care, with the equipment to back it up: optomap ultra-widefield imaging, the Dry Eye Trifecta and Rabin color vision testing.
Comprehensive exams
Adults, kids and seniors, with optomap ultra-widefield retinal imaging available on every exam.
Contact lens fits
Routine soft lens fits through specialty work, including scleral lenses for irregular corneas.
Medical eye care
Red eyes, foreign bodies, new floaters and flashes, diabetic eye exams and other visits billed to medical insurance.
Dry eye
Pasco is the practice hub for the Dry Eye Trifecta: IPL, MiBo Thermoflo and low-level light therapy.
FAA color vision testing
Rabin Cone Contrast Testing, an FAA-approved color vision test for pilots across the Tri-Cities.
Myopia management
Treatment plans for kids whose nearsightedness keeps getting worse.
A team that keeps the day moving
Trained staff handle pretesting, patient flow and the front desk. You walk into a lane with the workup done and spend your day on exams, decisions and patients.
One office, an easy drive from anywhere in the Tri-Cities
The job is at our Pasco office, inside the Walmart at 4820 N Rd 68. Road 68 has its own exit off I-182, so it is a straight shot from Richland and West Richland and a short hop across the river from Kennewick.
Pasco, Kennewick and Richland sit together where the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers meet, with the Red Mountain and Yakima Valley wine country next door. It is a growing area with plenty of families, which means plenty of patients who need an eye doctor.
